Terms of Service

These terms cover using this website and hiring Dalton’s Junk Removal. Using the site or booking a job means you’re alright with what’s below. If something here doesn’t sit right, call us and talk it through before we haul anything.
Quotes are estimates until we see it
A price from photos or a description is our best read on what the job takes. It isn’t a binding contract. Once we’re on site and can see the full load, the access and what’s underneath the pile, we’ll confirm the price before we start work.
If the job turns out bigger than what you showed us, we’ll tell you the new number first. You can say no. We won’t load a thing and then hand you a surprise bill.
You need the right to get rid of it
By booking a job you’re telling us you own the items, or you have permission from whoever does, and that you’re allowed to have them removed from that property. That matters most on rentals, estates and foreclosures, where the person calling isn’t always the person on the deed.
If someone else turns out to have a claim on what we hauled, that’s on you, not on us.
Once it’s on the truck, it’s gone
What we haul gets disposed of, donated or recycled, usually the same day. We can’t get it back for you.
Please go through everything before we arrive, especially on an estate or a clean out someone else arranged. Check drawers, check pockets, check the boxes in the back. If there’s anything you want kept, pull it out or point it out and we’ll work around it.
What we can’t take
Some things we’re not licensed or equipped to handle, and hauling them is against the rules at the facilities we use:
- Asbestos, and anything that might contain it
- Wet paint, solvents, fuel, oil and other liquid chemicals
- Propane tanks and pressurized cylinders
- Medical waste, needles and biohazards
- Ammunition, explosives and fireworks
- Animal waste and anything contaminated by it
- Contaminated soil
Not sure what you’re looking at? Send a photo before the day of the job. There’s usually a way to handle it, we just need to know it’s coming, and a lot of it can go on a normal load once it’s dried out or emptied first.
Getting to the job
We need a way in and somewhere to put the truck and trailer. If the site is locked, blocked, or nobody is there to let us in at the scheduled time, we may have to reschedule, and a trip out for nothing may cost you a fee.
If conditions on site aren’t safe for our crew, we’ll stop and talk to you about it rather than push through.
Scheduling, weather and delays
We’ll give you a pickup window and do our best to hit it. Weather, road conditions, breakdowns and jobs that run long are part of this work in central Minnesota, so a window can move. We’ll call you if it does.
Payment
Payment is due when the job is done, unless we’ve agreed otherwise in writing. This website doesn’t take payments, so nobody should ever be asking you for card details through this site or by text.
Canceling or rescheduling
Call or text as early as you can and there’s no charge. If we’ve already loaded the trailer and driven out to you, we may charge for the trip.
Photos you send us
Sending us photos gives us permission to use them to quote and plan your job. That’s all it gives us.
If we ever want to put a photo of your job on this website or in an ad, we’ll ask you first. How we store and handle your photos is covered in our Privacy Policy.
What’s on this website
We keep the service list, the service area and the hours current, but the site is here to describe what we do, not to lock in a price. Nothing on it is an offer you can hold us to on its own. The text, photos and logo are ours, so please don’t reuse them for another business.
If something goes wrong
We work carefully, and we carry insurance. If we damage your property doing a job, tell us right away and we’ll make it right.
What we can’t cover is knock on losses beyond the job itself, like lost income or the sentimental value of something that was in a load you asked us to take. Where the law allows us to set a limit, anything we owe you for a job is capped at what you paid us for that job.
Some states don’t allow limits like that. If yours doesn’t, this section applies to you only as far as the law lets it, and your other rights stand.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota. Anything we can’t sort out between us gets handled in the state or federal courts serving Crow Wing County, Minnesota.
Changes to these terms
We may update this page. The date at the top tells you when we last did. The version posted when you book your job is the one that covers it.
